Sam Jockel - Seen Documentary Producer
Sam Jockel is an award-winning social entrepreneur, speaker, and innovator known for building impactful digital communities and platforms. Beginning her career as a social worker in the education sector, she gained a deep understanding of the needs of families and educators. After the birth of her first child in 2010, she launched ALDI Mum, a Facebook page that quickly grew to over 170,000 followers, and in 2012 co-founded the social media agency Good Funny Smart while creating School Mum, a thriving community with over 440,000 members.
In 2017, Sam founded ParentTV, a groundbreaking video streaming platform providing personalised parenting support from world-renowned experts, bridging the gap in parenting resources within educational institutions by partnering with schools, childcare centres, and businesses globally. Expanding her impact, she is now producing Seen, a documentary exploring the complexities of modern parenting, furthering her mission to spark meaningful conversations and drive positive change.
Joe Williams - Seen Documentary Parent
Joe, admits to a confronting thought towards the end of the pandemic (lockdowns 2021) of having been a father for 18yrs, but recognises he has been a ‘Dad’ for the past two years. He shares bravely how he confronts his own trauma, behaviours and the damage he has passed on in his own journey of parenting. He brings a wealth of life experience and deep connection & presence not just for his children, but his close circle.
Joe is a father to 5 children and a proud Wiradjuri/Wolgalu, First Nations Aboriginal man born in Cowra, raised in Wagga NSW, Australia. Joe played in the National Rugby League for South Sydney Rabbitohs, Penrith Panthers and Canterbury Bulldogs before switching to professional Boxing in 2009.
Lael Stone - Seen Documentary Expert
Lael Stone is an educator, TEDx speaker, author of Raising Resilient and Compassionate Children, mother, and parenting counsellor who has worked with families and educators for over 20 years. Her work as a birth educator, postnatal trauma counsellor, and parenting educator has seen her work with thousands of families consulting about new-borns all the way to the teen years.
She is the co-creator of Woodline Primary School, an innovative new school based on emotional well-being and a sought-after public speaker who talks candidly about her experiences. Her great aim is to empower parents and educators to create greater connections and stronger relationships with children.
Circle Of Security Facilitator
We will be joined by a Circle of Security facilitator. Circle of Security is a relationship-based early intervention program designed to enhance the bond between caregivers and children. It helps caregivers understand and respond to their child’s emotional needs, fostering secure attachment and healthy development. By recognizing the "circle" of a child’s need for exploration and reassurance, caregivers can build trust, resilience, and a sense of security in their children.
