About the role

As an early childhood educator, you are responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate program that is aligned with the EYLF. 

Your duties will include:

Adapting daily routines and develop activities to meet the interest and needs of the individual child and the group. 

Building children's self-esteem and confidence through positive guidance and nurturing. 

Communicating with parents to discuss their children's development successes and improvements. Observing children and making notes of progress and development. 

Providing a safe and secure environment where children feel comfortable to express themselves through play.

Providing age-appropriate experiences and activities for children, including storytelling, games, and songs.

Integrating special needs children in a positive and respectful manner.

Your role will include encouraging creativity, fostering academic growth, and nurturing your tiny learners. 

Above all have fun, enjoy your day and take comfort knowing that your teaching will provide a child the best start to their educational learning.

Skills and experience

We understand that to gain experience you need an opportunity so previous experience is not a requirement however it is a bonus for the right candidate. Applicants currently studying to be an ECT or Diploma in Children's Services are also encouraged to apply.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA equivalent. ECT currently studying encouraged to apply.
  • Diploma or currently studying for an early childhood Diploma 
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Have a working knowledge of NQF & EYLF
  • Full time availability preferred however a minimum of 6 hours per day is negotiable. 
  • Applicants must be adaptable to flexible roster hours
