Our service:
The Y WA has been an intrinsic part of the community for generations, and a key part of that is our 78 place Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service. We provide before school, after school, and vacation care for children right from Kindy to Year 6.
With our own dedicated space within our very well-known Y WA Rec centre, we provide no end of activities, especially during vacation time! Ranging from rock-climbing, an outdoor play area to multi-purpose rooms, our service is unique and special.
With a high demand for local OSHC services, our staff are extremely dedicated to ensuring we provide an outstanding service. We continue to remain a favourite amongst parents, families, and the community.
Your role:
We are looking for a permanent, full-time OSHC Coordinator. Aside from running the day-to-day aspects of our OSHC services, we are looking for someone who can create fun, stimulating and engaging educational experiences. Your ability to implement, evaluate and maintain high quality programs as well as lead, manage and inspire your team will be second nature.
Working autonomously, you and your team will continuously strive to meet the children’s needs. You will have several tools at your disposal including YMCA’s Approach to Learning and My Time Our Place.
Nurturing ties with our existing staff, parents, and wider community will be a key focus in all that you do.
Our unique service fosters limitless interactions with our Y WA rec staff, offers 10 hours of non-contact time per week and professional development opportunities from your wider team both locally and in Perth.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An ACECQA approved qualification - Certificate IV in Outside School Hours Care, Diploma in Children’s Services (0-14), Bachelor of Education or equivalent. (Overseas qualification must be assessed by ACECQA).
- HLTAID004 first aid certificate.
- Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lead and manage a team.
