Both individually and as a member of the Australian Childcare Alliance, ACA WA actively engages with State and Federal governments on issues of significance to the sector.

ACA Role in Advocacy
With a national membership base that represents over 70% of all privately operated early learning services,
we offer a strong voice for the early learning sector in the areas of:
• lobbying government on important issues such as the national standards for children's education and care, and the level of childcare rebate funding available to families
• information sharing between other early learning sector groups and interested parties
• providing regular updates to our members about government developments that affect the early learning sector, emerging issues facing the sector and landmark decisions in areas such as industrial relations law.

We promote and support the quality provision of early learning services for families by:
• evaluating and commenting on social policy and strategic directions that affect the early learning sector
• advocating for the rights of children and their families
• fostering the understanding and development of best practices in early learning
• improving access to quality, inclusive early learning services
• raising awareness of the importance of early learning
• providing leadership and support to those in the field of early learning
